Senior program & project manager for VodafoneZiggo (joint venture between Vodafone and Liberty Global). Responsible for the successful development, implementation and delivery to operation of B2B programs / projects.
Selection of key achievements for different programs / projects
✪ B2B products - Anti-DDoS (to protect against the most difficult DDoS attacks). Offering a Liberty Global product within fZiggo where, in addition to an internet product, customers could also order Anti-DDoS services. Technical preparation as well as arranging the processes in terms of provisioning and in terms of support;
✪ B2B products - Introduction of Business Defined Networking (BDS) (SDN / NFV solution) - development of the Vodafone Flex Business solution;
✪ Voice services (VoIP) for fixed (Ziggo) networks - harmonization and migration of voice networks. Integration of fBreezz product within Ziggo. Creation of a migration path from a seven-year-old platform to the latest release, which was accomplished, among other things, without writing and developing an upgrade scenario without support from the platform's vendor;
✪ In-Home services - the harmonisation of the provisioning platforms of Ziggo and UPC. This project consisted of two phases, first applying the way of provisioning of UPC (early binding) to Ziggo (late binding) and secondly the migration of the UPC customers to the provisioning platform of Ziggo. Migration involves converting over 1.3m fUPC customers with 2m+ devices to the new provisioning platform;
✪ IP Network IP & Transport - introduction of new B2B CPEs. Introduction of new CPEs that met the B2B requirements, have been successfully tested on all features and have been successfully set up in terms of monitoring and alarms;
✪ IP Network IP & Transport - introduction of looptesters in the network so that B2B quality delivery can be guaranteed.
Program manager for a very large VoIP project for Cablecom Switzerland. The assignment is to increase the capacity of the voice network from 300k to 1000k customers and also to adjust the network so that international telephone calls can also be tapped according to the latest Swiss legislation.

To upgrade the VoIP platform at UPC Cablecom:
✪Remove the individual Class5 soft switches for an integrated Class4 / 5 soft switch solution;
✪ Upgrade the soft switches in three steps (NSN R9 -> NSN R11 -> NSN R13) to the latest software versions.

Selection of key achievements for the different programs / projects
✪ Program manager and ultimately responsible for the roll-out of the “core” network of the Full MVNO platform (in a fully geo-redundant setup). Also responsible for the first two network connections as part of this European MVNO network: The Netherlands and Switzerland. For the integration of this network I lead a team in which a number of parties are active: the “core” network partner, the IT partner (for the rating of the telephone calls, among others), the MNOs from different countries, the roaming broker (and its partners), the UPC countries with regard to the integration of their soft switches and the LEA (Law Enforcement Agency (NL: OPTA)). In addition, evaluation of the roll-out marketing strategies on which countries should be launched first based on short and long-term profitability;
✪ Delivering a better customer care experience by providing interactive videos to solve the most common customer problems with internet, telephony, TV services and other related questions for the offered broadband service (e.g. how to connect a modem, how connect the set-top box, where your accounts can be found on the website, etc.) in all UPC branches (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Switzerland and Poland);
✪ Implementation of Docsis 3.0. Overall responsible for the upgrade to Docsis 3.0 in a number of European countries for UPC (The Netherlands, Poland and Hungary). Via Docsis 3.0, the implementation of changes to the network infrastructure, a new product offer "fiber power" (including pricing) was delivered to replace the existing product portfolio;
✪ First successful European implementation of a PCMM (PacketCable MultiMedia) network at UPC Netherlands.
